Fewer than it will have tomorrow
There are older ones leaping and dancing
For there are no more aches and hurting bones
There are soldiers freer than any
Whose freedom they valiantly fought for
There are those who in surprise and happiness open their eyes
And no longer feel the grip of fear and death on their hearts
Which was felt only moments before
And the babies-
The babies are bouncing on His knee
Loved.
Heaven tonight is fuller
Than yesterday
Emptier
Than tomorrow.
