Goodness….. what does one even begin to say when things like this happen?
Boston…home of the American Revolution…Patriot's Day…Marathon Day…will surely never be the same again?
In all honesty last night, I had to say the Lord, that I don't know what to pray. Except that, but for His grace, we are all capable of wickedness. This doesn't excuse it, it doesn't soften it, it doesn't make nice the ugliness of someone planting explosive devices at the finish line of a race. So because God knows…because He knows the heaviness, and the confusion and yes…the anger at such senseless violence, we prayed prayers of thanks instead for the responders, and the people who without thought dove right in and helped, for those fighting daily for our freedom in countries all over the world, for those 'fighting' in His name in countries all over the world….the ones we know and the ones we don't….the ones fighting the bigger war…the spiritual one that is behind this more obvious one.
We already know the outcome. Though it may appear that Satan is winning this….this is only a battle. But Christ has already won, and He will win the war.
